Our Next Plastic Recycling Event is June 15!

Updated: May 16

NOTE: We will have a new location - in the gravel parking lot off of Royal Avenue by Petersen Barn, 870 Berntzen Road. There will be a reader board sign on Royal.

We will accept #2, #4, and #5 plastic containers and lids for collection and donation to the Lane County Community Collections Plastic Project. Please note, all plastics MUST be thoroughly cleaned, inside and out. Plastics not meeting these guidelines cannot be accepted.

NEW as of November 2023, Labels no longer need to be removed, with the exception of prescription bottles. All labels must be removed from prescriptions for security and privacy reasons. Getting the glue off can be tricky, and this article has some helpful ideas for that: https://www.avery.com/blog/6-ways-to-remove-stickers-labels-from-containers/

Donations must be made during assigned time slots, and priority will be given to donors on our waiting list.

For sign-up assistance or questions, contact Emily Pyle at emilypyle9@gmail.com. To volunteer for the recycling drive, please contact Pennie Moblo by texting 541-954-4135. We are also collecting returnable bottles and cans (with visible barcodes), for help with ABC outreach activities.

Reminder: Beginning June 1, 2022, Lane County welcomed back #1 and #2 Plastics in Mixed Recycling: #1 and #2 bottles, jars, and jugs (if larger than a tennis ball) can be recycled in curbside containers or taken to ANY Lane County transfer station! Be sure to check the shape and number.
