Ham Radio Operators Needed to support the Bethel Community Emergency Communications Plan (EMCOMM)

from Robert Sprowl, Ready NW Eugene Co-Chair

This is a community volunteer Emergency Ham Radio team.

You will be providing vital emergency communication services to the Bethel Community during major emergency events.

We need Ham operators who live within the Bethel boundaries

The EMCOMM Ham radio operators will act as Northwest Eugene District Net control and/or the Bethel Neighborhood Ham role to relay traffic to/from Bethel Neighborhood emergency response teams who are using FRS radios to communicate emergency issues.

Optimally there would be two or more Bethel Neighborhood Ham operators to allow redundancy and shift rotations

I have recently received my Amatuer Radio Technician license and would welcome working with interested Bethel Hams to establish a Bethel EMCOMM Team.

If interested or if you have questions, You can contact me, Robert Sprowl, by emailing ReadyNWEugene@gmail.com with a subject line of "Bethel EMCOMM Ham Radio operators"
