The Bethel neighborhoods need more trees! Active Bethel Community will be partnering with the city's urban forestry and Friends of Trees to plant trees in the yards of the Bethel homes. ABC will be asking for a matching grant with the city to provide trees for FREE to Bethel residents. We need to know who would be interested in receiving a tree for their private yard. All you will need to do is help with the planting and take care of the tree. Friends of Trees will give you instructions for care. If you are interested, just send an email with Subject Line "I would like to be a tree-cipient" to bethelneighbors@gmail.com and give your name, address and phone number. We will add you to our list of "treecipients" and keep you updated with progress on this exciting activity.
If you would rather just help to plant the trees, just let us know at bethelneighbors@gmail.com with your name and phone number with the Subject Line "Help to Plant Trees". Volunteers are ALWAYS appreciated! We will observe social distancing and mask wearing to keep everyone safe.
